«Tre giorni. 3.000 metri di dislivello. Le montagne della Colombia si fanno sentire e ti ricordano il paese che ti ha ospitato anche quando stai per attraversare il confine con l’Ecuador. Questa foto è stata scattata nella tappa Pasto-Pedregal dove dopo essere arrivati in cima alla montagna, c’è stata una meravigliosa discesa. Il giorno dopo ci siamo ricordati che per ogni grande discesa c’è una grande nuova salita dietro l’angolo. Aspettiamo il risultato delle elezioni in Ecuador in un piccolo villaggio dove davanti alla cattedrale scrivono “qui sono avvenuti miracoli”. Emozionati e un po’ nervosi per la nostra prima frontiera».

“Three days. 3,000 meters of elevation gain. The mountains of Colombia make their presence felt and remind you of the country that has hosted you, even as you are about to cross the border into Ecuador. This photo was taken on the stage from Pasto to Pedregal, where, after reaching the top of the mountain, there was a wonderful descent. The next day, we remembered that for every great descent there’s a big new ascent just around the corner. We are waiting for the results of the elections in Ecuador in a small village where, in front of the cathedral, they write ‘miracles have happened here.‘ Excited and a bit nervous for our first border crossing.”

“Tres días. 3,000 metros de desnivel. Las montañas de Colombia hacen sentir su presencia y te recuerdan el país que te ha acogido, incluso cuando estás a punto de cruzar la frontera hacia Ecuador. Esta foto fue tomada en la etapa de Pasto a Pedregal, donde, después de llegar a la cima de la montaña, hubo un maravilloso descenso. Al día siguiente, recordamos que por cada gran descenso hay una gran nueva subida a la vuelta de la esquina. Estamos esperando los resultados de las elecciones en Ecuador en un pequeño pueblo donde, frente a la catedral, escriben ‘aquí han ocurrido milagros’. Emocionados y un poco nerviosos por nuestra primera frontera.”
