Oggi abbiamo passato la nostra giornata tra mercati e negozi di bici. Quando arriviamo in una nuova città ci piace andare a vedere il mercato. Ci trasporta in una realtà nel cuore della città dove ci immergiamo in odori, sapori e conversazioni tra le persone che lo vivono. Oggi siamo stati più fortunati del solito, Luis, che lavora nella scuola dove facciamo il Workaway è venuto con noi e si è assicurato che provassimo l’indispensabile della “comida callejera”. Tra le buone notizie della giornata ci sono anche le nostre nuove ruote. Se tutto va bene domani dovremmo averle montate, siamo riusciti a trovarle più spesse e più grandi delle precedenti, anche se nel negozio stanno ancora pensando se siano meglio Maxxxi (che hanno tutti qui in Ecuador) o le Michelin. Dipenderà anche dal nostro budget, ma per fortuna questa due settimane stiamo risparmiando con il Workaway. Vi faremo vedere una foto del nuovo setup nel prossimo update.

Aire Libre is the big journey of Diletta & David, who set out from Bogotá, Colombia, and are heading to the Patagonia Park. D&D are pedaling their way across South America.
Today, we spent our day exploring markets and bike shops. When we arrive in a new city, we like to visit the local market. It immerses us in the heart of the city, where we experience the scents, flavors, and conversations among the people who live there. Today, we were luckier than usual. Luis, who works at the school where we do Workaway, came with us and made sure we tried the essential “comida callejera” (street food). Among the good news of the day are our new wheels. If all goes well, we should have them mounted tomorrow. We managed to find ones that are thicker and larger than the previous ones, although the shop is still debating whether Maxxxi (which everyone has here in Ecuador) or Michelin are better. It will also depend on our budget, but fortunately, we are saving money with Workaway for the next two weeks. We will show you a photo of the new setup in the next update.

Hoy pasamos nuestro día explorando mercados y tiendas de bicicletas. Cuando llegamos a una nueva ciudad, nos gusta visitar el mercado local. Nos sumerge en el corazón de la ciudad, donde experimentamos los olores, sabores y conversaciones entre las personas que viven allí. Hoy tuvimos más suerte de lo habitual. Luis, quien trabaja en la escuela donde hacemos Workaway, nos acompañó y se aseguró de que probáramos la esencial “comida callejera”. Entre las buenas noticias del día están nuestras nuevas ruedas. Si todo va bien, deberíamos tenerlas montadas mañana. Logramos encontrar unas que son más gruesas y más grandes que las anteriores, aunque la tienda todavía está debatiendo si Maxxxi (que todos tienen aquí en Ecuador) o Michelin son mejores. También dependerá de nuestro presupuesto, pero afortunadamente estamos ahorrando dinero con Workaway durante las próximas dos semanas.
